Higher Education Learning Circle

  • Hamilton County Educational Service Center 11083 Hamilton Avenue Cincinnati United States (map)

This gathering of the Higher Education Learning Circle: Building the Behavioral Health Workforce will continue to build relationships and collaboration between behavioral health employers and higher education in our region. Those attending should plan to deepen relationships with other institutions and behavioral health employers, learn about strategies and collaborations that have developed from our ongoing conversations and convenings, and be eager to participate in new opportunities to learn and collaborate.

Is this your first time participating in the HELC? Why you should join this Higher Education Learning Circle. Your higher education institution is an important part of building the behavioral health workforce in our region. We are asking you to work with your colleagues to create a team that represents the different behavioral health programs in your institution.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Discover how the use of paraprofessionals can be an effective way to extend the behavioral health workforce through the delivery of critical, nonclinical services.

  • Learn more about a regional high school behavioral health pathway initiative.

  • Discuss public policy strategies that impact recruitment and support the behavioral health workforce.

  • Network with other higher education institutions, behavioral health professionals, students and adult learners, and other stakeholders helping to build the behavioral health workforce in our region.

Lunch will be served. This is a free event.
