Frequently Asked Questions

  • For the '24-'25 school year the programming will formally begin in October and end in the beginning of May.

All Seniors will have to start in October, Juniors may have access to a second cohort starting in January depending on level of interest, and Sophomores will be able to enroll on a rolling basis.

  • This may vary on a week to week basis, and will depend on the grade level of the student.

Seniors will be participating in 48.5 hours of formal, paid, training between the beginning of October and the beginning of May. Other specific hours will be determined based on specific coordination with the student's school.

Juniors will be participating in a minimum of 8 hours of formal, paid training starting in October or January. Other specific hours will be determined based on interest and sign up for experienceship opportunities.

Some events will likely be during school hours, and others may be outside of school hours.

If you are interested, but have concerns about you or your student having the time to participate, please reach out to discuss more specifically!

  • Participating students will be paid for training hours, as well as for internship/work opportunity hours throughout the program.

Senior participants this year will also have the potential to be eligible for scholarship money toward a higher education program within the behavioral health field.

  • We want to ensure that parents/guardians remain in the loop with information on the program while also promoting the students to engage independently. Parents/guardians will be given an overview, schedule, and will need to give permission for their student to participate in the program. Each school will also have information to share with their established parent/guardian updates or newsletters. At certain points within the program, parents/guardians may be asked to sign additional permission forms for things like transportation to work opportunities or other events.
